Biosan Founder & CEO Xingli Wang Featured in Nutrition Insight on Transparency in the Functional Mushroom Industry

Blog

Xingli Wang, Founder and CEO of Zhejiang Biosan Biotech Co., Ltd., was recently interviewed by journalist Kimberly J. Decker for Nutrition Insight in an article titled “Transparency Gaps Threaten Functional Mushroom Sector.”

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in mushroom cultivation, processing and extraction, Wang shared her perspective on one of the most important challenges facing the rapidly growing functional mushroom industry: transparency and integrity throughout the supply chain.

As consumer demand for functional mushrooms continues to expand globally, questions surrounding raw material identity, extraction ratios, undeclared carriers and fillers, analytical methods, and the verification of bioactive compounds are becoming increasingly important.

For Biosan, transparency is more than a market trend. It has long been central to how we approach mushroom cultivation, extraction, testing and manufacturing. From farm to finished extract, we believe that clearly understanding what is in a product, where it comes from, how it is processed, and how its key compounds are verified is fundamental to building long-term trust in the functional mushroom industry.

We are pleased to share this Nutrition Insight feature and to contribute our experience and perspective to the broader industry discussion.
